Santo Domingo-based studio Pons Arquitectos has designed the Aun Siento Residence.

Completed in 2003, this 5,380 square foot single family home is located in Arroyo Hondo III, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Aun Siento Residence by Pons Arquitectos:

“The story behind the name “Aun siento” which represents this residence, is one that’s born from a family experience between the architect and his brother, Nelson Pons, and the passion that they both share for Fito Paez’s music.

In a moment where professional practice was headed towards construction more so than design, in came the assignment of projecting this house. Relying on family trust, Nelson mocks Daniel, asking if this creative sabbatical was intentional or not : “His architectural pulse still beats”, and Daniel answered with the “Aun siento” quote, from the song “Ahi voy” by Fito Paez, lei motif that walked hand in hand with the design process all throughout.”
