Carling Residence by TACT Architecture

By • Feb 5, 2013

Toronto-based studio TACT Architecture designed the Carling Residence project.

Completed in late 2010, the 3,600 square foot residence was built for a young couple looking to leave the city behind.

The home is set on a 26-acre lot into a rustic forest on the shores of the Georgian Bay, Northern Muskoka, Ontario, Canada.

great mix between new and old, warm and cold, high end and sustainability

I wouldn’t say they’d left the city behind. The design is not organic at all, it’s much more industrial and hard and I’d say they’ve taken the city with them.
