The Surry Hills-based Clark Pearse Architects have completed the Bundeena House, located in Bundeena, a village near Sydney, Australia.

The home overlooks the ocean magnificently from atop the porous and rocky cliff on which it sits.

Bundeena House by Clark Pearse Architects:

“New house: a low scaled design that follows the gentle slope of the land, inspired by the formal simplicity of traditional coastal fibro houses.

The house design reflects two strong characteristics of the site: it has an open side facing the sun & water with a large cantilevered balcony, & an enclosed shaded side wrapping around the base of a large fig tree.

Details include: sea shell terrazzo floors; range of incorporated environmental technologies & materials.”
