Sensory Interior Delight is a project completed by Minosa Design, and it is located in Sydney, Australia.

The terrace has stunning views over the city, is bright and spacious, with high ceilings and plenty of skylights.

Sensory Interior Delight by Minosa Design:

“The owners of this stunning home had commenced construction before it was realised that the planned kitchen and other interior spaces would need to be reconsidered and redesigned to suit the architecture of the house.

The design team at Minosa was commissioned to create a variety of interior spaces that would be better suited to the over-sized and radical architectural style of the home. Starting with the kitchen, designers Darren and Simona applied themselves to meeting the entertaining needs of their clients. The kitchen space was extended and an over-sized, custom-designed and –made table included. Easily seating 10, and extending to seat 14 when needed, the table has become the setting for some memorable social events.

Stand-out items in the kitchen include a seamless Corian benchtop and a customised kitchen rangehood which has been designed around a Qasair hood but personalised to work with the contemporary nature of the dwelling. Pendant lights hang from an 8-metre (26-foot) ceiling, each cleverly customised with a stainless steel bar so they would hold a straight line.

Such a high ceiling required a conscientious plan for task and general lighting to ensure work surfaces were adequately lit and a dramatic effect could be achieved at night.

A visually interesting and invigorating colour scheme was chosen for the interior spaces with complementary oranges and greens adding shots of brilliant hues to draw the eye. Repeated at various intervals throughout the house, the carefully chosen hits of colour create a cohesive story within the home.

Injecting a sense of calm within this otherwise aesthetically exciting interior, the wet areas all feature Liberian limestone on floors and walls. In the powder room, an essence of luxury is assured thanks to the inclusion of an incredible Bisazza Endimonie mosaic feature wall which, when paired with the Puddle washbasin by Minosa, creates the epitome of visual impact.

To match the Liberian limestone, the remaining bathrooms feature the Minosa Milana bench and Elssia drawer units within a stunning light-and-dark colour scheme where cool whites sit harmoniously adjacent to warm chocolate tones. A variety of floating elements keep the space feeling light and airy which further supports the home’s architectural style.

A purpose-built home theatre is fitted out in deeper shades to create a moody, more cosseted environment where the owners can retreat to enjoy a selection of blockbuster movies with family and friends. Complemented by a 1000-bottle wine cellar and bar area, it is a comfortable and inviting space in which to relax.

The interior design by Minosa ticked every box for these very satisfied homeowners. They now enjoy living in a cutting-edge, modern space that is perfectly at home within this stunning architectural setting.”
