Duplex at Beacon Court:

“For the first time ever, this extraordinary apartment, the only duplex at Beacon Court, is being offered for sale. Charles Gwathmey’s vision was to create the most sophisticated, stunning and elegant apartment in New York City.

The level of custom finishes throughout this approximately 9000sf home will astound you. A magnificent double height living room with 24’ ceiling and two walls of windows look out onto unbelievable views.

Venetian plaster walls, maple floors, Anigre wood and stainless steel are the key materials used throughout. The chef’s kitchen has state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances. Adjacent to the kitchen/dining area is a comfortable media room.

Also on this level is a powder room, reception room, home office, pantry and 2 staff rooms with a full bath. On the upper level is the master suite encompassing an office, sitting room and 2 baths with white statuary marble walls, sinks, black granite floors and two dressing rooms with generous storage and custom cabinetry.

Also on this level are 3 BR with ensuite baths, a den and laundry. The apartment has the latest technology including central A/C and heating zones, Crestron system, security system, touch pads in every room which manage lighting, temperature, electronic window shades and more.

This apartment is a rare combination of grand space, extraordinary light, dramatic views and perfection of design and execution. This memorable home has no equal – a unique New York City treasure.”

  1. Great views and the apartment is very stylish, but what is going on with that bobble-headed statue in the living room? I certainly wouldn’t want to relax or have a conversation with that thing staring at me. Creepy.
