Eric Street House by Paul Burnham Architect:
“The Eric Street house has been created on the former back garden of a suburban property near Cottesloe Beach in Western Australia.
The house fills the modest sized block and has been arranged to allow all living rooms full northern aspect exposure.
Ground floor living areas open onto a wide timber deck while first floor living areas open onto a 17m (23ft) long roofed north facing terrace.
A further roof terrace allows for the creation of a private roof garden complete with ocean views.
Timber cladding is recycled Australian hardwood. The house is designed with passive solar principles and benefits from hydronic heating and double glazing throughout.”
