On most university campuses, student housing can get pretty cramped. If you’ve ever done it for an extended period of time, then you’ve probably become something of an expert when it comes to living in and navigating a small space. When talking about a penthouse in New York, what usually comes to mind is the image of a modern apartment, luxuriously decorated. This apartment, located on Hubert Street in TriBeCa, dates back to 1892 and was remodeled by ODA New York. Although contemporary details have been included in its restoration, certain details of the old building, such as its exposed brick walls, have been preserved to maintain its air of antiquity.

This two-story, 5,500 square feet townhouse is located in the heart of Lincoln Park, California, USA and was designed by Summer Thornton Design. From the moment we enter, we perceive that touch of good taste and elegance that defines each space and that is present in each of the bedrooms. If we wanted to define it in a single word, that word could be, “Sophisticated.”

This majestic apartment located in Taipei City, Taiwan was designed by Taipei Base Design Center for a young couple. Both of their jobs are related to fashion. At first, we are struck by the sobriety of its somewhat dark decor. The living room consists only of a type “Chester” coach and two wing chairs. Its biggest draw? The immense windows which allow us to have an unobstructed view of the exterior and at the same time allow the space to be filled with natural light.
This apartment is located in Madrid, Spain, by architects Marta Muñoz and Josean Ruiz Esquiroz, and is an excellent example of the optimization of space and power. With the idea of conserving space in mind, this remodeling project included different options of convertible pieces of furniture, in such a way that the space could be employed most efficiently.
