I am fully convinced that nature is something that the vast majority of people enjoy. Feeling that direct contact gives us tranquility, relaxes us, and disconnects us from the pressures of everyday life.

This beautiful cottage, nestled in a forest of tall trees and thick vegetation, was renovated and patiently expanded over the course of many years by the architect Jim Olson from Olson Kundig Architects, who has owned this cottage since he was only 18 years old.

The interior, a comfortable place without luxuries and in perfect harmony with the outside, is bathed in sunlight that enters through the glass walls and fills the space.

Raw wood, a material that prevails in both floors and walls as well as in the furniture, could not be more appropriate for the decoration of this cottage.

It can be only imagined during a rainy day – sitting in the comfortable interior, enjoying a good book and a cup of hot coffee. I do not think there is a better way to disconnect from the daily routine.

At dusk, the place becomes magical. The fog descends and begins to cover the forest, creating a unique effect that transports us to a cozy and relaxing atmosphere.
