The name of this contemporary, 2011 project by Luca Zanaroli means “House in the Olive Grove”.
When designing the home, the architect wanted to create a functional home from traditional materials that supplements the beauty of the plentiful olive trees that inhabit the site.
It is located in Morciano di Leuca, Italy.
Not surprisingly, ‘Stripe House’ gained its name from the horizontal stripes that dominate its exterior.
Designers at GAAGA added the stripes to enhance the texture of the building and add tactile, as well as visual, interest.
The house is locate in Leiden, The Netherlands and was created in 2012.
This 6,000 square foot, contemporary mountain home is located in Breckenridge, a ski resort in Colorado, USA.
