This luxurious home was designed to maximize the 360 degree views from its hilltop location. Six bedroom suites, eight baths, an office tower, a library, a den and a media room with nearly 10,000 square feet of luxury living, plus patios, terraces, and a six car garage: wow this home has it all!

Add to this impressive list a dramatic entry, soaring wood beam ceilings, travertine and imported teak floors, 5 fireplaces, automated sun screens and clerestory windows, Lutron lighting system, video security system, state of the art kitchen and luxurious master suite and bath.

Put on top of that a spectacular pool and a spa and you won’t be surprised to read that the price tag of this beauty is somewhere between 5 and 7 million dollars!

The Flag House addition by Propeller Z

Vienna-based architectural firm Propeller Z has completed an addition to a 200 year old farmhouse in Fahndorf, Austria.

Within a budget of 70,000 euros, Propeller Z succeed to build an amazing contemporary addition (590 sq ft) including a kitchen and living space.

Attached to one of the farm’s U-shaped arms, the new dwelling sits elevated on the terrain, opening completely with floor-to-ceiling glass.

To keep the budget low, Propeller Z, decided to work with local materials: the ceiling and entry platform are clad in warm wood, while floors are made of concrete.

The new addition is insulated with recycled newspaper, and the North facade, skinned with a wood stack that spans entire length of the facade is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, plus it adds an extra layer of insulation and protection.

The Pogo Collection by Joel Escalona

The Pogo Collection design by Mexican designer Joel Escalona features Mini Pogo, a modernized version of the Piggy Bank, a kids stool and a kids table.

Teaching children about saving money is important, and with mini Pogo, kids can save money.

Once they get older and they have enough cash, they can buy a bigger piece, either the stool or the table.

Of course, if they are very savvy, they will buy both!

Each piece is made of fiber glass and comes lacquered in a large variety of shiny colors.

Before & After: Coxford Condo Living Room

Spotted on Danielle Oakey Interiors, here is an example of how to redesign an uninspired living room on a very tiny budget.

The owner has already bought the sofa, the chairs, the end tables, the TV, the lamps and a few throw pillow.

But no matter what, the living room looks unfinished with its depressing empty boring walls.

For a mere $500, thanks to Craigslist and local classifieds, Danielle revamped the living room which is now so much more elegant!

She reminds us that money is not the key to create a warm atmosphere and beautify a house!

Land Carpet by Florian Pucher

Inspired by the aerial views of farm landscapes from all around the world, Austrian designer Florian Pucher has created the Land Carpet collection.

The rugs show the world from straight above and the stylized fields make each piece appears like a miniaturized landscape.

As each country deals with landscape and farming in a different way, the rugs are 1800x1200mm and come in several series representing a different continent or country.

Each series comes in limited edition of 88 pieces, and is hand-tufted from New-Zealand wool.

Cubic Sagaponac House by TsAO & McKOWN Architects

The Sagaponac House is a 4,500 square foot house located in an east Long Island community, Wainscott.

Designed in 2007 by Calvin Tsao and Zack McKown, partners of Tsao & McKown Architects, New York, the residence is a two-volume modern and minimalist house.

The upper level above the land line consists of a white simple two-story cube, while the lower volume is built right into the landscape.

This first level is connected to a superb outside swimming pool and offers a complete privacy for partying with a few friends.
