Houses by the sea have something very special, or at least, it is so for lovers of the sea. The idea of sitting in front of it, relaxing, listening to the waves breaking upon the shore, enjoying the salty smell, it all makes us dream and disconnect from the world… at least for a moment. Our dreams are a reality in this beautiful house designed by Cibinel Architecture on the coast of Victoria Beach, Canada, an exclusive place for nature lovers.

There are houses that, by their design, make us feel a certain affinity, something like, “I could live there,” not because they are luxurious but because of what they transmit. And when I look at this house, I definitely think, “I could live there.” Its warm and familiar atmosphere is inviting, and makes us really feel that we are “at home.”
Fiore is the very appropriate name given to this house, and which in Italian means “flower.” It received this name because it seems to rise and grow through the grass of the fields that surround it. This building presents a mix between the old and the modern – even though it is inspired by wooden barns and country houses, the interior has a marked modern style that defines it and give it its own character. It was designed by Salmela Architect.
This modern construction, located in Touguinhó, Portugal, was designed by Raulino Silva in 2016. Built in the center of an immense plot of land, the home has beautiful gardens around it, and a swimming pool area where terraces provide a comfortable space to relax. The walls of the house adjoining the swimming pool area were made of glass so that, from the internal spaces, we can enjoy an abundance of natural light and the unparalleled views of the gardens.

Pedro Ferreira Architecture Studio has completed the rehabilitation of a 19th century building located in Porto, Portugal. Despite having originally been practically in ruins, the resulting building looks totally renovated. With its clear and modern spaces, we would never imagine its age nor its original condition.
