This house was designed by the architectural firm Jun Igarashi Architects, while the project itself was personally handled by Jun Igarashi, in 2016. It has a total area of 137 square meters and is located in the port city of Japan, Tomakomai.
With a very particular design, and keeping in mind certain aspects and ideas of the designing team, this singular space with a very notably original charm has been created.
Its clear wood exterior, with windows and doors with white frames, as well as high ceilings, makes it stand out among the rest of the houses of its neighborhood.
In its interior, several different levels that identify each of the spaces were created, each of them using a light wood in combination with the ceiling and beautiful beams that cross the space from side to side.
Both the furniture as well as the walls and stairs have been done in white, which establishes a very soft combination and creates a peaceful atmosphere. Some rooms have been separated by white curtains of soft, thin, vaporous fabric that allows some light to pass through them.
The exterior at night looks absolutely adorable, as though it were a doll house.
