Dancing living house by Junichi Sampei from A.L.X. is a three-story concrete home designed for a married couple in Yokohama, Japan.

The 1,224 square foot residence combines the needs of a home with those of a dancing studio.

On street level, a space for two parking slots was created under the main volume of the house.

the whole structure is treated as a singular object in its soundproofing. with the exception of some parts of the ceiling and a corner from its street face, the whole volume is encased in a thick shell of reinforced concrete to eliminate external sounds from getting in and vice versa.
