This house, located on Ostozhenka Street in Moscow, Russia, was designed by the architect Lisa Screw.

The interior, decorated with a minimalist mindset, is sharp and clean, and allows the natural light that enters the space through the large windows of the apartment to illuminate everything in sight.

House on Ostozhenka Street by Lisa Screw:

“This is a rare stroke of luck, when from the very start of the project the customer knows what he wants, but they trust you as a professional architect.

The design concept of the building is such that the perimeter of the apartment has a series of pillars in the middle of the walls, which does not help with its decoration. I tried to disguise them.

The apartment is used a lot of natural materials – marble and wood – and you had to make sure that all connections have been made carefully. We have found a wonderful marble pattern which is cut into smooth strips, which I wanted to make flow from the walls parallel to the floor, but the right way to dock the marble slabs was not immediately apparent.

The apartment owners have asked me to buy for them all interior items – books, dishes, down to the smallest detail, So the interior is even more solid.”
