Mostra Casa e Conceito by Guilherme Torres:

“To create a scenic and contemporary space was the premise for the architect to create a living room for a Decoration show in Londrina, Brazil. For this space it was launched a challenge: to do the work with only R$ 1000, possible thanks to unusual financial resources.

As the environment was the first to be visited and had direct communication with the outside area, a large screen made of polycarbonate and MDF frames was created, bringing privacy and a subtle lighting to the environment. No renovation was made, and all the electrical points are original of the property. The floor was covered with reforestation pine, a very economic element but with scenic effect.

Almost all furniture is the collection of the architect, mined in many travels. The high-low climate is translated in the objects contrast, like the shelf created with plastic fruit boxes or the horse sculpture mounted with Asian tree roots. The profusion of color and humor present in many pieces translates a young and cosmopolitan space, suited in times where sustainability and environmental conscious attitudes are increasingly valuable.”
