When we think “contemporary houses”, our minds automatically go to a number of features. For example, we start to picture clean white surfaces and colour schemes, bright pops of accent colour, unconventional decor shapes, and lots of crystal clear glass. If that sounds like the kind of contemporary house you enjoy most too, then you simply must check out the photos of Turned House in Treviso, Italy!

Turned House is a residential project that was designed and built by MZC Plus in 2015. Even just walking by on the street, visitors can see immediately that this home is a little more unique than the more standard or traditional buildings around it. This is thanks to split structure that allots most of the space and the bigger rooms to the top floor rather than the ground floor. Besides that, passers by will also immediately notice the inclusion of gorgeous picture windows on each floor, one for each central room of the house. This opens up each space and keeps the home bright and cheerful no matter the weather thanks to copious amounts of natural light.

Inside the house, visitors will find an abundance of sparkling clean white in every room, both in the design and the decor. The counter surfaces, much of the furniture, and all of the walls boast the flawless tone, making it easy to add personality with simple decor pieces in solid colours. We love the way bright primaries establish an almost pop art aesthetic to a fully white and modernly furnished home. This is enhanced by the glass walls and massive windows, as well as a few unconventionally shaped decor pieces, like winding bookshelves and floating staircases. The overall effect of these elements combined screams nothing but fun to us!
