Riverdale Dormer House is a home located in Perth, Australia. This gorgeously streamlined structure was completed in 2016 by Post Architecture, who strove to make it stylishly contemporary without crossing over into being too “cold” feeling for a home. They achieved this with breathtakingly bright windows, beautiful wooden flooring, and fun abstract art pieces on walls all throughout the home!

Looking at the exterior of the house form the backyard might seem misleading because it looks quite small, but a few steps inside will show you just how well the designers took advantage of the space they had, choosing fluid furniture designs that blend classic styles with modern conceptions. Huge wall prints bring personality to each room while the primary colour scheme stays pleasantly neutral to ensure that the art pops no matter which room you’re walking into.

Perhaps our favourite feature of the whole house is the giant front window way up at the top. It’s like a beautiful portrait of home life, but angled such that no privacy is lost. Instead, the window casts a warm glow on the outside world at night and brightens the room behind it to a cheerful degree during the day.
