Sometimes in our search for impressive home designs and decor we come across the perfect blend of many things. Many homes often harness one particular style in a beautiful way and run with that decor theme and aesthetic, keeping the style quite uniform throughout the house. Occasionally, however, we find a house that takes a few key features and builds them together in the same place in innovative and fantastic ways. That’s the case with a particularly unique home called Pereira Narvaes House!
A stunning residential project designed by SUCRA Arquitetura + Design, Pereira Narvaes House harnesses the beauty of more than one type of aesthetic. This residential project, which is located in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, was completed in 2014 and has been impressing visitors ever since.
Approaching the house, you’ll immeditaely notice the industrial chic feel about the exterior. Concrete features heavily and, even though the house is sizeable, it extends upwards rather than across a wide area, making it resemble a fortress. Because it’s built on an incline, designers had the forethought to include a luscious lawn on one of the outdoor balconies that lays flat, making it a more versatile green space. Outdoor areas are highly valued, extending all the way around the house on all floors.
The emphasis on open space and sunlight continues into the house itself as well. Each floor is flanked across the front side by tall, wide windows that extend from floor to ceiling. Beyond those windows, you’ll find some modern looking elements, like a smooth, charcoal kitchen with a floating stove hood. For contrast, however, you’ll also see comfortable seating spaces all throughout the house that resemble a more 1970s feel, both in the shapes of the furniture and the colour scheme. Here and there, however, decor specialists dotted a few bright red chairs that certainly have more of a pop art feel to them, giving the place a little splash of extra personality on each floor as you wander through the house.
Even the materials and textures used to create the home and its rooms are an awesome blend of differences. You might see primarily concrete on the outside, and that’s mirrored in certain places inside the house as well, but that’s not all you’ll see! Gorgeously finished light wood is also prominent in the decor scheme, balancing the concrete to a more homey feel. At the same time, accent walls of red brick both outside and indoors keep things interesting and suit the furniture pieces that have a slightly more vintage feel. Pereira Narvaes House is simply one of those homes that has just about everything you could want in one place!
