There are houses that impact us at first sight. Maybe it’s the wonderful decorations that we find once inside that just happen to match our decorative tastes, or perhaps the color palettes used to bring life to the interiors. This house, located in Kennebunk, Maine, USA, is definitely one of these homes.
The design was carried out by the interior design firm Hurlbutt Designs, in conjunction with Spang Builders, a construction company based in Maine, opening the spaces and adding functionality to the floor plan. Working together, they used a palette of soft and pale colors that gives each room an air of softness.
The designer used fabrics and distinctively designed wallpaper from the colorful collection of Thibaut Resort Collection alongside their upholstered fine furniture pieces to bring a little South Beach style into the equation. The backsplash glass mosaic used on the kitchen walls, made up of a group of distinctive tiles, is an absolutely dreamy design, just like the turquoise shutters. In different spaces, different combinations of colors and tones have been used, though what they all have in common is a strong emphasis on soft and pale color palettes, resulting in a completely adorable house with dreamy and romantic designs characterized by an abundant use of light.
