A Unique Opportunity to Visit an Airship at the DOX Center for Contemporary Art in Prague, Czech Republic

Have you ever dreamed of going onto a giant airship? Well, now’s your chance! This airship was designed by Martin Rajniš from the Czech architectural firm Hut Architektury. It measures 138 feet in length and is docked on top of the DOX Center for Contemporary Art in Prague, Czech Republic. And don’t think this airship is merely decorative! The installation serves as the museum’s new reading and meeting space. So maybe this is your chance to make your dream come true! What are you waiting for?
The giant airship is literally parked between two buildings, so if you are afraid of heights or suffer from vertigo, you should think about it a little before deciding to visit it.
Its wooden structure is created out perforated panels that make up the walls of the whole structure and so, with the airship’s preservation in mind, a kind of plastic shell was placed on top half of it in order to cover and protect it from the rain and the wind. At the same time, however, this allows for the entrance of natural light, keeping the space illuminated and perfectly ventilated.

Inside, a line of seats was arranged for those who like to read or for holding meetings.
