Interior decor is clearly a priority and an important feature in every home, but in some climates the design and layout of the patio and outdoor space can be just as important. If you firmly believe that you’ll spend the majority of the year lounging outside on the balcony or sprawling patio, then you might as well make it just about as comfortable as the family room, only with more durable furniture to withstand the weather! Many houses take the patio space heavily into consideration, but few manage to strike a perfect balance between style indoors and style outdoors in equal ways. Viareggio, however, is a perfect example of how to achieve both!
Viareggio is a stunning residential project that was both designed and created by iconic Italian architectural and design firm Piergiorgio Corradin. Finished in early 2016, the house is located in the heart of its namesake, Viareggio, Italy. Settled right into the seaside on the water, the first thing you’ll notice is the gorgeous sprawling deck dotted with comfortable seating and eating areas that are perfect for hosting. The decor is kept casual thanks to cute woven wicker furnishings and candles that make the whole place glow at night.
Moving on into the house, you’ll find a sort of retro chic aesthetic that’s all at once comforting and stylish. While the interior decor doesn’t explicitly feature matching wicker to the pieces outside, the nice neutral colour scheme made of calming beige tones does tie things together throughout the whole property quite nicely. The entire space and house are cohesive in a way that stylishly expresses a love for open social spaces, fun angles, and just a hint of modernity in the furnishings. It’s a gorgeous blend all throughout!
