This beautiful home is located approximately three hours northeast of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It covers approximately 3,300 square feet and was designed by architectural firm Bohlin Grauman Miller in a joint project with Bohlin Cywinski Jackson in 2015.
It was thought up as a place where kids could calmly enjoy the thrilling adventures to be had exploring the nearby lake and forest, as well as be rented out during vacations. It’s built deep within the dense forest and is surrounded by tall and lush trees, which provide extensive shade and a moment’s rest from the intense heat during the summer.
Its exterior walls are largely made of glass, which permit the uninterrupted flow of natural light through into the interior of the house. This makes it so that, from all corners of the home, natural light seeps in and adds a sense of warmth and clarity.
The living room, made with beautiful wooden floors—where the immense stone chimney is the center of attention, what with its elegance imposing itself on the remainder of the room—has a very high ceiling. This format facilities the movement of air from one space to another.
Behind the living room is the beautiful kitchen, which invites visitors and occupants alike to spend time inside and enjoy a meal together.
The modern and functional bedrooms offer more than enough room to have a good night’s rest on its wooden bunk beds.
The wide open bathroom allows the occupants to take a warm bath in harmony, forgetting their problems and falling into a sea of relaxation while they enjoy the beautiful views of the landscape.
