Extension of a Log Cabin in the Swiss Alps by Lacroix Chessex

Swiss architects firm Lacroix Chessex has completed the renovation of the Chalet Noisettes.

The project consists in a double extension and renovation of a century-old log cabin located in Gryon, in the Swiss Alps.

The facades made of natural larch artificially aged blend in very well with the existing home.

The historic Mid-Century Modern house, built in concrete block, mahogany and glass was completed in 1961, two years after Lloyd’s death.

The 3,800 square foot residence has six bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and sits on a 80 acres lot. The property has been on and off the market for a number of years, and is back on sale.
