Luxurious and Enchanting Hotel in Normandy, France from the Seventeenth Century

It seems like something out of an old tale, this wonderful construction located in the high parts of the pretty coastal town of Honfleur in Normandy, France. It was originally built in the 17th century as a traditional Norman house with slate roofs and half-timbered walls. The structure is now a charming Relais & Châteaux hotel, offering a gourmet restaurant and a fabulous spa, complete with an indoor pool, fitness center, jacuzzi, and sauna.

ANTAO Group Designed Their Own Headquarters Through Renovation

When ANTAO group had to choose a new site for their headquarters, instead of renting out or purchasing an already-existing building, they decided to take a different course of action, and launched a large-scale renovation of a dilapidated factory building that had been abandoned for years. Located in Shi Qiao Lu, Hangzhou Shi, Zhejiang Sheng, China, the building covers a total area of 3,000 square meters – a gargantuan feat.

Church Located in Taichung City, Taiwan Designed by JYCArchitect + DCDAssociates

Located in Taichung City, Taiwan, this church has a small congregation located right next to the Shuinan redevelopment zone. It covers an area of 1,350 square meters and was designed in 2016 by the architectural firm JYCArchitect + DCDAssociates, by a team formed by Jing-Yao Chang, Hsuan-Ya Kao, and Yu-Cheng Lin. Its interior is subdivided into areas, and so we find that the first level houses the auxiliary space, while the second and third floors hold the auditorium and its mezzanine seating area. The fourth floor is the pastor’s own residence.

Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital by Four Architectural Firms in Johannesburg, South Africa

It has a total of 29,900 square meters in area, in which they’ve attempted to create a number of open spaces, filled with lights and color to counteract the usual sentiment felt when having the necessity to visit a hospital. Small Café Located in Mexico City Designed By Boué Arquitectos

ÖÖD Designed a Wonderful Hotel Room for Short-Term Accommodation and Holiday Housing

ÖÖD hotel rooms are designed for short-term accommodation and holiday housing. They require little effort to complete installation, as much as eight hours of work, and can be installed in any part of Estonia without needing any special permission. Its price-per-unit is approximately €65,000 and includes custom-built Estonian furniture.

Each unit can house two or three people, and fits in perfectly both with urban landscapes as well as the more rural options available. Built primarily from steel, insulated glass, and thermally treated wood, its interior has a bedroom, kitchen, living room, and bathroom.

Home automation is built in as is floor heating and LED lighting. The installation of Internet connection, water, sewage, and electricity supply through off-grid solutions are currently being worked on for the future. The structure also has an LG heat pump in order to provide both heating and cooling.

The first unit was installed last fall, but the company has plans to expand its business to international markets in the following months.

The most interesting aspect of the design is that it allows the occupants to enjoy the views of the different locations where they can set up from the comfort and ease of the interior. Even then, it preserves their privacy, given that there is no visibility from the exterior to the interior.
