This private home in Warsaw, Poland, covering an area of 360 square meters, was designed by OFD Architects with the intention of having it serve as a family home. The interior of the home is the perfect example of contemporary design: it is spacious, done in modern, straight lines, and is blessed with high ceilings and a plentiful supply of natural light.
Nevertheless, it retains a touch of coziness that prevents us from forgetting that what we are seeing is indeed a family home. The color palette, though leaning toward the neutral, is warm, and the generous addition of potted plants brings life into the home, even in the depths of snowy winter.
The design is mostly minimalistic in nature, thus allowing for the light to flow unobstructed, and for the space to remain open – open for gatherings, open for quality time spent in the company of family and friends.

The bold style, with its stark contrasts between dark and light, becomes more pronounced as we venture farther into the home. A sense of peace pervades the bedrooms, the perfectly organized walk-in closets, and the bathroom, the last of which feels almost like a spa in its pure brightness. The plants accompany us here, as well, adding an organic touch to our experience and keeping us in touch with nature.

Gorgeous. I love the light colours and lots of wood. So cozy. Plus the big windows.
