Following the ultra modern glass and wooden staircase to the second floor, you’ll encounter an even more unique feature than anything you’ve seen so far. Remember the part at the top of the home’s exterior that looks like bamboo sticks from the outside? That’s what you’re behind now when you enter the rooms upstairs! This stunning screen is designed to give you privacy without closing out the fresh air, cool breeze, and sunshine that come with living in a climate like the one in Singapore. From each room you can turn panels in the bamboo screen to open like shutters. Don’t worry about safety if you have kids though; each screen has a subtle glass half wall behind it that gives you some barrier without closing you in or impeding your view.
