This construction, with its fabulous outdoor hanging gardens that give it a natural touch and offer a fresh interior, is located in one of the areas with the highest urban pollution in the city of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. That is why its architectural team has tried to create in it a small park, in a dense neighborhood, which serves as a valve to escape the serious pollution that affects the inhabitants of the area.
As such, the architectural firm VTN Architects, under the command of its architects Vo Trong Nghia, Masaaki Iwamoto, Nguyen Quynh Han, and Kuniko Onishi, worked hard to bring the lost greenery back to the city and forge an intimate relationship between human beings and nature.
The house is designed for a typical Vietnamese family spanning three generations. Each private function is located in a concrete wall space. It has semi-outdoor spaces, which function as a living and dining room and where people can meet and enjoy pleasant moments as a family. It has been designed using local and natural materials. What makes this project special is the terrazzo wall, which was a popular material in the 80’s, but has been forgotten in recent years.
