The house by the pond was constructed with natural elements such as anodized aluminum, cedar, and cement. These specific elements were selected because of their low maintenance, great cost value, durability, and longevity. Just like the outside of the home was constructed in a very specific manner the inside was as well. It offers an open layout with a pavilion feel separated by space that is broken down with large glass doors. Not only that, but the street front pavilion showcases the pool area and the wildlife of the pond.

The structural design of this guest house Rivendell by IDMM Architects is a work of art in itself. Measuring at 7,760 square feet and located in North, Korea this guest house is a must see. The entire guest house is spread out with different areas that appear like limbs. Unlike a traditional home, this building offers an upper and lower space that is divided by long rows of windows. The windows allow for the amazing view to be seen throughout every single floor and space of the home. This was done because nature was a huge concept when it came to the structure of the home.
