Mooseberry Design Creates an Apartment for a Student in Kiev

On most university campuses, student housing can get pretty cramped. If you’ve ever done it for an extended period of time, then you’ve probably become something of an expert when it comes to living in and navigating a small space. Student apartments might not quite constitute actual “micro-living”, but some of them get pretty close! Some architects and designers out there, however, seek to remind us that just because you’re living in a small space doesn’t mean you can’t do so with style. Apartment For a Student is proof of that!
Apartment For a Student is a stunningly chic little one bedroom home located in Kiev, Ukraine. This one of a kind residential project designed and created by innovative teams at Mooseberry Design. They created the space with the mindset that students are busy people who spend most of their time attending classes, working, and studying, making it imperative that they come home to both an additional effective workplace and a non-stressful environment.
The designers’ emphasis on clean, calm colours and straight geometric lines plays a role in making the apartment look neat and well organized. The furnishings are stylish in their shape but simple and without intricate flair, making each small room look uncluttered, as though everything fits right together in a snug but linear way.
Walking in, you’ll also notice that the apartment features plenty of flat table and counter space, allowing students to set up just about anywhere for an intense study session whenever they need to, but also move about their home in case they need a refreshing change of scenery before they get going. Beyond that, the apartment is well lit with modern hanging pendant lights, meaning students will have no trouble reading pages of small words no matter where they choose to study.
On top of all that, the whole place is incredibly stylish! The apartment’s furnishings are shaped so as to hearken back to retro times, but with a contemporary spin that keep the decor from looking either outdated or overly styled in a cold way that might be distracting to someone trying to concentrate intensely. School isn’t only about study, though. That’s why the apartment comes fully equipped with a surprisingly spacious kitchen for the home’s size, as well as a comfy living room that’s perfect for hosting study groups or new friends from class.
