Schwartz and Architecture have designed this multi-level urban home in San Francisco, California, USA. It was designed in 2016, and covers a ground area of 3,500 square meters.
The home was designed with a strong landscaping program, which reflects the culture of sunny California, always seeking the outdoors. This is further emphasized by the two terraces – one on the second level, the other on the roof – that provide outdoor spaces for the residents of this home where to enjoy the good weather in the company of friends and family.
But even on a cloudy day, we could find plenty to enjoy in the interior of this home. It is done in a distinctly contemporary style, full of elegance and warmth, with surfaces done in rich wood, polished to a shine, and sophisticated decorative accessories. The light, neutral tones of the furnishings and the kitchen counter serve to balance out the richness of the wood, creating an elegant combination that adds to the chicness of the interior.
High ceilings and glass walls allow for plentiful natural light to flood into the home, creating an interior that is not just classy and stylish, but also luminous and airy. The terraces of the home invite us to venture outside once more and enjoy the sunny California weather.
