T&T Residence is a private home that was designed by Q_arts Arquitetura in 2016. It is located in Itaara, a municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The home is a small farm with a slope of approximately 20 meters, and with a surrounding landscape that is practically untouched by man. This grants the home a level of tranquility and peace unimaginable in a large city.

Due to the home’s location atop a plateau, it enjoys uninterrupted views over the surrounding rolling hills. An infinity pool sits at the edge of the home’s terrace, inviting residents and guests alike to delight at the views available for their enjoyment.

The interior of the home is characterized by the use of dark wrought iron, glass for the walls and stair railings, wooden surfaces, and black furnishings. All of these elements come together, quite successfully, to give visitors a first impression of elegance and good taste. In the kitchen we find, in addition to the previously mentioned materials, the use of a gray stone to create an intricate surface texture for the walls. This design calls to mind the roughness of the rural surroundings the home is located in, though it is done with an elegance that strengthens the idea that we are indeed in the comfort of a contemporary home.
