Retro Style House in Australia designed by Mountford Architects

This wonderful home project located in Attadale, Australia, was inspired by the 1950s design of a house owned by the actor Gary Cooper. It was built by the prolific architect Quincy Jones in Hollywood Hills, California, USA.

It was designed in 2013 by the architectural firm Mountford Architects, and the project, with an area of 530 square meters, was personally undertaken by the architect Ben Mountford.

The result is a design that creates a comfortable space for family life in three areas: formal, informal, and outdoors. The three zones are strongly differentiated from each other but still visually connected.

Its exterior has perfectly manicured gardens and spacious terraces with wooden floors that invite residents to enjoy the good weather while in the company of friends and family.

The large glass wall that surrounds the exterior of the house creates a connection between the exterior and the interior, flooding the latter with abundant natural light and providing bright and colorful spaces.

In its furniture, we find a marked retro touch that matches perfectly with the modern style of the rest of the house décor, and at the same time maintains the essence of the timeless mid-century design that inspired its creation.
