The architectural firm LCGA Design, under the direction of its architects Circle Huang and Gina Chiu, designed this fantastic and modern apartment of 75 square meters in the city of Taipei, Taiwan in the year 2017.

Entry marked by the range of gray colors

The main concept for this project is “light”. Not only was the space needed to have sufficient natural light, but also linear lights, suspended light boxes and backlight windows in the folding door, generating different appearances in a single space. Angles were applied to many details to make the different lights visible when projected. When planning the design, the space divider was added to allow light to penetrate.

The dining room also doubles as a sort of study. The living room is not only a relaxing public space, but also a single room that is transformed by just pulling the folding door and the sofa becomes a bed. To make the space consistent, simple materials were used as an extension and rectangular tiles were applied on the floor and the walls.

As you can see the apartment reflects a great and strong personality full of elegance and exquisite good taste, in which each detail plays a key role.
