Residence Rabbit is a contemporary home designed by BOONDESIGN, and surrounded by a landscaping program created by T.R.O.P: terrains + open space. The home is located in Bangkok, Thailand, and covers a total ground area of 420 square meters. It was completed in 2017.
The home was designed for a landscape architect, whose main wish for this structure was for it to be defined by a series of courtyards in which to showcase the landscaping. As such, the vegetation that surrounds it encroaches upon the interior of the home at every turn, blurring the lines that separate the indoors from the outdoors.
A series of white walls line the East-West axis, with rooms integrated between them, so that every room enjoys garden views out towards the East and the West through clear glass walls.
The home’s interior is distributed across two and a half storeys with double volume in the living and dining room areas. There are two stud rooms, one for the owner and one for his wife, which were placed on top of a guest bedroom and bathroom. There are two bedrooms above the living and dining rooms. A court was placed between the living and dining rooms to bring light into the home.
