This house, located in Paddington, an inner suburb of Brisbane, in Queensland, Australia has been designed with a range of striking colors in both its different textiles as well as in its furniture. It’s certainly one of the highlights of this project.

The design was done by Claire Stevens who, in an effort to bring part of the exterior to the interior, made an opening in the kitchen area and the living room, which allows us to enjoy the external views from the comfortable interior of the house. It truly is something special to share with family and friends.

Another important change that was made in the house, in order to improve upon its negative aspects, was the reconfiguration of circulation spaces. The size of the bedroom was increased and the storage space was maximized. All of this helps in providing greater comfort to the young family.

The eclectic taste of the client led him to mix styles in each room, as well as his affinity for color and pattern mixing that is reflected in wall and window coverings, lighting fixtures, art and furniture. The result is a wonderful home that plays between modern and traditional, between color and monochrome, and the mixture of bold graphic patterns and delicate floral designs.
