Verdant House is a private residence designed by Robert Mills Architects. The home is located in Toorak, the most expensive and prestigious suburb of Melbourne, in Australia. Its exterior areas are covered by perfectly tended gardens where a sumptuous pool is the center of attention.
The premise from the very beginning was to create a luxurious contemporary family home. The residents wished for it to combine their love of entertaining with their desire to connect to the natural environment which surrounds it, and for it accommodate their extensive art collection.
The project is opulent and spacious, with vast living spaces and a towering spiral staircase as the center piece.
The clear glass walls are located all throughout the living room, as well as in the kitchen, and bring not only natural light to the space, but also views of the exterior garden into every room, allowing for a perfect, harmonious balance to exist between inside and outside.
Its interior is populated by modern and elegant furnishings done in dark tones, sitting upon wooden floors that give the space a touch of sobriety
The minimalist modern kitchen maintains the decorative continuity of the spaces, using black in contrast with white, and creating a play between bright colors.

The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, and are subtly integrated with the bathroom, creating an aura of functional comfort.
