SPG Architects transformed an abandoned steel frame and concrete slab structure erected on a remote Costa Rican coastal hillside into a five-level, indoor-outdoor residence on a rain-forested mountainside overlooking the Golfo Dulce in Costa Rica.
Located on a rain-forested site that overlooks the Pacific Ocean, the 18,000 square foot house is “environmentally sensitive, technologically advanced, and modernist by design.
Although the structure was beautifully sited, it needed considerable re-thinking to become a viable and beautiful home. “
