By Magaly • Feb 28, 2018
Located in Tegernsee, Germany, these fabulous chalets have been designed by the interior design firm landau+kindelbacher Architekten Innenarchitekten.
With the opening of the Alpine chalets, the hotel DAS TEGERNSEE has expanded its wide range of lodgings by adding a new format — and what’s more, these chalets are also available for long term stays. Since 2017, 18 apartments and double rooms measuring anywhere from 35 to 120 square meters have offered up to 8 people a temporary home.
Through a weather-resistant glass passage, the Alpine chalets are connected directly to the hotel and, therefore, to the lobby, the hotel’s gastronomic offer, and the large spa area. The holistic and practiced philosophy of the hotel is also continued in the new accommodation.
Two sections of construction, directly interconnected, house 18 new room units on two levels. Whether they have their own private terrace on the lower level or balconies at the top, they all have an unrestricted view of the Tegernsee and the surrounding mountains. The exposed rooms and the floor-to-ceiling windows, in combination with high ceilings, additionally reinforce the spatial effect.
On the upper floor, all the rooms are completely covered in spruce, in the style of the unique character of the alpine wooden chalets. The ceiling of the rooms and suites on the ground floor are also clad with wood.

Natural elements, such as green vegetation, pebbles, and stone surfaces, were used throughout the home in order to emphasize the connection to the landscape. By Magaly • Feb 7, 2018
These functional and elegant offices were designed by Yarden Turman and Yossi Romano of the architectural firm Turman Romano, two young creatives specializing in structural, spatial, and interior design. Their firm is located in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Before its remodeling, the space looked narrow and shapeless, all in all a space completely inadequate for any kind of occupation. Even so, they took on the challenge of transforming it, even though in order to do so they had to tear down walls in order to create an open space.
It covers an area of 10,764 square feet of construction, and its remodeling was carried out in the year 2017. Three open space work areas, seven private offices, and three meeting rooms form the huge central recreational area as well as an apartment with open kitchen, dining area, and cooling area. It has a video game room for those moments of relaxation and fun. Large desks, plants, photos, as well as an extensive amount of books for inspiration and enjoyment, have been added to create cozy and peaceful spaces.
The black color is prominent throughout the office, creating an elegant atmosphere full of personality. Dark wood floors, metal nets, glass walls, and long tables are just some of the striking details of this fabulous design.

Apartment Portugal, a stylish apartment located in São Paulo, Brazil, was designed in 2017 by Gabriel de Lucca from the architectural firm GDL Arquitetura. It covers a total ground area of 140 square meters, and was designed for a family who required integrated spaces. The architectural firm sought to create a large and fluid space that would take advantage of the natural lighting conditions the apartment enjoys by eliminating partitions and uniting all the individual rooms to form a spacious whole.
Bespoke furnishings populate all spaces, existing in complete harmony alongside other pieces of furniture, both from contemporary and vintage origins. Sober and neutral tones, as well as surfaces covered in wood, come together to create a single space that feels united and cozy. Camilo House is a spacious private residence located in Parral, a city and commune in the Linares Province of Chile’s Maule Region, 350 kilometers south of Santiago. The home was designed by the architect Ignacio Correa for a family of farmers in the year 2016, and covers a total ground area of 340 square meters, or 3,679 square feet.
The home sits in a plot of land in the middle of the countryside and which is occupied by no other homes, so that it is surrounded by nature in its purest state – lush forests and vast expanses of mossy green grass. The owners wished for the home to be an architectural and design representation of the surrounding landscape and culture of this area of southern Chile.
The buildings’ exterior walls, clad in raw wood, are an expression of this idea, directly connecting the structure with the surrounding landscape. Wooden surfaces, including floors, walls, and ceiling, are also present in the interior, blending the boundary between indoor and outdoor, and bringing that connection to nature into the interior of the home. Clear glass walls look out into the green expanse, further facilitating this discourse, as well as allowing natural light to seep into the interior.

Blue House is a contemporary home located in Dartmouth Park, a district in north London, England, United Kingdom. It was designed by the Notting Hill based architectural firm De Rosee Sa, and completed in 2015. The property covers a total ground area of nearly 170 square meters, or over 1,800 square feet.
The clients had previously resided in the upper maisonette of this house, and when their downstairs neighbors decided to leave, they completed the purchase of the ground floor, greatly increasing the ground area of their home. To help unite the two spaces, they enlisted De Rosee Sa, and to return it to its original function as a three storey townhouse.
The first challenge the architectural firm tackled was increasing the proportions of the interior spaces in order to give the house an enhanced sense of space and grandeur. In order to do this, the low floor to ceiling height of the first floor was modified, in order to increase the spaces and give the rooms more luminosity.
The interior décor is done in a muted color palette consisting of different shades of gray against rich wooden floors. Some darker pieces add touches of contrast, such as the fireplace in the living room and a dark wooden table in the bedroom, making the spaces feel more dynamic.
