Villa in Cemagi:

“Super sleek and sexy, but fabulously comfortable, The Villa would not be out of place in one of the world’s fashion capitals, yet this impressive five-bedroom villa is located in the beautiful and very traditional Balinese village of Seseh, just a stone’s throw from the beach.

The Villa is owned by a Spanish model and a fashion designer and their sense of style and sophistication shines throughout the villa, from the fabulous black interiors to the incredible array of Asian antiquities.

There are seemingly endless opportunities for relaxation at The Villa: recline under a parasol on a daybed fit for royalty; sip sunset cocktails on the party-size sofas by the pool; chill out in the comfortable garden balé with friends, or simply take a moment to rest and rejuvenate in peace on your private bedroom balcony.

With its enormous kitchen and dining space and its open-sided living areas looking out across the magnificent tropical gardens and swimming pool, The Villa is an ideal venue for social events, whether it be a wedding, milestone celebration or informal and relaxed get-together with friends or family. And the impeccably trained staff, including an experienced villa manager and restaurant-trained private chef, will ensure that every moment of your stay is absolutely faultless.

Only a few metres from the villa lies Seseh’s glistening volcanic-sand beach, where surf beckons and rock pools fascinate. Watch the local fisherman haul in their daily catch, and the village children play football at dusk. Or wander to the local temple where enchanting ceremonies are performed daily against the ocean backdrop. For adventure further afield, hire Mahatma’s car and driver; within twenty minutes you could be dining at one of Seminyak’s world class restaurants, shopping at a très chic boutique, or teeing off on the world renowned Nirwana Bali Golf course.

Surrounded by a lush tropical garden bordering an expanse of manicured lawn, The Villa boasts three pavilions symmetrically arranged around an emerald green swimming pool that forms the centerpiece of this villa.

The grey-black river stone featured throughout the villa – lining the swimming pool and forming a backdrop to the two feature walls that cascade with water – enliven the senses and create a synergy with the natural environment, harmonizing with the dark, glistening volcanic sands of Seseh Beach. The two master bedrooms boast spectacular views over the ocean as it stretches endlessly towards the horizon, whilst the suites and corner room are surrounded by the verdant garden, fragrant with frangipani.

Guests can relax on the couches in the entertainment area and watch TV or curl up with a book. If culinary delights are for you then take a seat at the dining table, with magnificent views over the pool and garden, and observe the master chef in action.

Bedrooms

All five bedrooms at The Villa feature the villa’s signature sleek black décor, are furnished with king-size beds, and equipped with ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning.

Sunrise and Sunset suites (master bedrooms)

Upstairs in Mahatma’s main pavilion are two identical master bedrooms – one facing east and the other west – appropriately named the Sunrise and Sunset suites. Sunrise looks out over a Hindu temple on the seafront whilst Sunset has wonderfully expansive views over the ocean. The rooms feature iPod docking stations, televisions, DVD players and lounge areas with enormous windows that can open to let in the balmy sea breezes. Daybeds on each of the rooms’ private balconies beckon for intimate moments of relaxation.

Corner bedroom

The corner room, below the Sunset suite has an ensuite with shower and access to its own private garden.

Sunrise and Sunset pavilions

Located at the far side of the garden, and separated by a decadent alfresco lounge area, are the mirror-image Sunrise and Sunset pavilions. Romanesque sunken baths luxuriate within the bedrooms while the ensuite bathrooms are fitted with a shower. Covered terraces embellished with artefacts and statues from around Indonesia offer views over the pool and garden and feature sofas built into the stonework.

Location

The Villa is located in the charming and traditional seaside village of Seseh, just a few metres from a black volcanic-sand beach: take a stroll along the shore, watch the local fisherman reel in the catch of the day, or wander to the village temple on the foreshore to observe the colourful daily ceremonies.

A trip to the famous sea temple of Tanah Lot at sunset is an absolute must, as is the Nirwana Bali Golf Course, one of Asia’s best: both are just a ten-minute drive away from The Villa. Sophisticated Seminyak, with its dazzling array of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops, and Bali’s fascinating cultural centre of Ubud, are also within easy reach.”
