This gorgeous private residence is located in Gliwice, a city in Upper Silesia, in southern Poland. The home covers a total ground area of 280 square meters, and was designed in 2016 by INOSTUDIO. The home has a fortunate setting, as it is located close to the forest, but still enjoys the social advantages of being surrounded by a densely populated family residential area. Being so close to a forest in part affected and inspired the design of the home, and so the architectural firm opted to create a spacious home with an interior courtyard. The building is simple and minimalistic, with a pitched roof, and with a symmetrical exterior structure.
The ground floor of the home has no windows, though it is open to the garden and the courtyard, granting it privacy from the neighboring homes. The second floor, by contrast, has two terraces, and boasts a view to the forest and the Gliwice Radio Tower, the tallest wooden structure in all of Europe.
The interior is characterized by stark whiteness – floors, ceiling, walls, all done in a pure white that is mesmerizing and relaxing in its purity. Works of art and potted plants have been used to add small pops of color throughout the spaces.
