Studio de Materia Designs a House in Poznań, Poland

The architectural studio Studio de Materia, in a project supervised by Adam Wysocki, designed two modules that adapt themselves perfectly to the terrain’s typography. This building is located on the edge of the Żurawiniec parkland in Poznań, Poland. Studio de Materia constructed the house in a letter T shape, with the living room, dining room, and kitchen in one wing, accompanied by a glass façade that allows its occupants to look upon the reserve.

A Concrete House Designed by ARCO More in Portugal

Miguel Island, Rabo de Peixe, Azores, Portugal in a spot that has an open view over the surrounding fields and woods. It has a surface area of 76 square meters and was carried out in 2015.

The owner was involved in every stage of this self-build project with the help of Dan Kerr of MawsonKerr Architects to create a sustainable and accessible house for his parents who previously resided in a traditional farmhouse and wanted to continue living on the same site, but wished to have an outstanding piece of architecture that would create an accessible, comfortable, highly energy efficient home, using local and traditional materials in a contemporary way.

It has a total area of 350 square meters and was constructed in 2017, undertaken by architectural firm Schema Architecture & Engineering, and supervised by architect Marianna Athanasiadou.
