This project, covering an area of 85 square meters, is located in Coruña, a port city on a promontory in the Galicia region of northwest Spain. The project was carried out in 2016 and belongs to the well-known Egue and Seta, having been completed with the collaboration of Gaila González, Daniel Pérez, and Felipe Araujo.
The apartment is owned by one of the collaborators of the studio, and today we’re able to admire her particular vision of the ideal home décor.
In it, she reflected her idea of ideal house by giving it her personal touch and creating for herself a space that she could call “Home”, something that spoke of her. The result? A space that, far from being a museum, is the result of her wanderings around world markets, as she prefers the idea of living in a travel log or in a newspaper instead of in a decoration magazine.
What they liked most about the apartment was the central location, just a step away from the center of the city, but they also loved the light that passes through the glass of the entrance, which manages to reach the living room and kitchen in spite of their distance. The final hit? The dressing room!
She likes classic things, that which is always timeless, mixed with objects of all kinds rescued from antiquarians, markets, and even the garbage bins!
They use a very well thought-out phrase, “For us a house is never finished, the decoration of our own houses, as ourselves, is constantly evolving and changing.”
