This unique container-designed hotel was built by the Australian company Contained, has a 20-foot interior that has been converted into a sophisticated hotel room that can be easily installed and shipped anywhere in the world.
Contained specializes in reusing old containers to be used in sophisticated accommodations. The structures are strategically equipped to configure and deploy easily. And, being portable, they can be sent almost anywhere in the world.
Each unit is equipped with a queen-size bed, a living room with a sink and bar area, and a bathroom. For the outdoor space, guests can enjoy a large terrace shaded by a folding awning. Large glass doors and windows absorb the light of day and the surrounding landscape.
Although portability is a key point in container refurbishment, the design of each individual unit is simply astounding. The sophisticated and modern interiors make us forget what they used to be.
According to the directors of Container, Anatoly Mezhov and Irene Polo, its commercial objective is to create an option for people who want to travel in a more sustainable way, but without sacrificing comfort.
The company has installed its structures in numerous locations, including a Victoria winery, Sydney Harbor, and a desert retreat in Queensland.
