It seems like something out of an old tale, this wonderful construction located in the high parts of the pretty coastal town of Honfleur in Normandy, France. It was originally built in the 17th century as a traditional Norman house with slate roofs and half-timbered walls. The structure is now a charming Relais & Châteaux hotel, offering a gourmet restaurant and a fabulous spa, complete with an indoor pool, fitness center, jacuzzi, and sauna.

It is a magnificent lodge from the seventeenth century where artists of the time would go to spend the night.

It is surrounded by beautiful gardens, perfectly manicured and full of stunning flowers that give it color.

Its interior is no less impressive than its exterior, and it is decorated with lovely period furnishings and exquisite fabrics. The elegant rooms brim with historic charm, but do not lack all the comforts and amenities that a modern traveler could want, including iPods, flat screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi.

Its restaurant offers guests local food, as well as seafood, all served in the height of sophistication.

Its spa offers guests diverse treatments, all of them with products made with organic ingredients.

Certainly, being able to visit and enjoy its luxurious facilities must be a unique experience.
