Canadian interior designer Robert Bailey has recently completed the interior design of the Fairmont Penthouse.
This 6,400 square foot duplex apartment is located in the Fairmont Building in downtown Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada.
Fairmont Pacific Rim Penthouse Interior by Robert Bailey Interiors:
“6,400 square foot Penthouse on two levels, the 47th and 48th floors (plus 49th roof deck) of the Fairmont Building in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
We designed this penthouse for a couple who include Vancouver amongst their global destinations. The project was carried out in two phases, one during the construction of the base building and the second when the suite was handed over to the owner.
Having worked with the clients on previous homes (in West Vancouver + London), our direction was understood. The home was to be comfortably luxurious and visually quiet.
Materials for the skin of the apartment are warm and neutral, wide plank bleached oak flooring, walnut doors and millwork, taupe stone and marble. We custom designed the furniture in a scale to befit the commodious spaces, but also with heirloom quality craftsmanship and materials. The spaces were planned to suit entertaining large groups or intimate gatherings equally well. The style of the apartment is modern with respect for traditional values of comfort and ease of use.”
